Step 1: Sign up for a United Mileage Plus account. Note your 11 digit acct#

Step 2: Sign up for a Chase Signature United Visa card USING THIS SPECIAL PROMO LINK ONLY. Put your mileage plus # into the web app.

When you receive the card, make $250 in purchases (or balance transfers!) and pay it off. Should be easy to pay your bills using a credit card for a month. Within 30 days, you will receive your 25,000 bonus miles into your United Mileage Plus account. You check your balance by logging into the MP page on united.com.

Step 3: United only "charges" 25,000 miles for a "saver" ticket anywhere in the continental US. A "saver" ticket means the lowest fare class, which translates to the seats that will sell for the cheapest amount. This means that you may have to book early, especially on popular routes. For the most part, I've been able to get a saver ticket as soon as a week away.

Don't have anywhere to fly right now? Doesn't matter - this promo won't be around forever. Get the miles now, they're good indefinitely (they'll 'expire' if you have no acct activity for 3 years, but you can buy a $10 item from the "mileage plus store" to get acct activity).
